We sail at her behest
[Verse]
I’m a preacher’s son
With a penchant for a-sailin’
And I’ve never been one
To brag or boast
But when it comes to plunder
And raiding Spain’s treasure
There ain’t no one better
To have at the helm
So mind your riggin’
And put in some muscle
We stalwart lot
Are ready for a tussle
We’ve got some devilin’ to do!
(We’ve got Some devilin’ To do!)
(yo!)
[Chorus]
Left foot, right foot, up she goes
Hoist the sails with a big heave-ho!
Farewell Plymouth, cheerio!

On the Spanish Main, El Draque’s the name
The Dragon they call me when I’m on the hunt
These blue eyes sparkle, for gold and jewels
A rich plate of silver, and breakin’ all the rules
Between wind and water, we’ll make our fame
Come gale, come tornado, or sheets of rain
Keep ya eye on the prize, take ‘em by surprise
This preacher’s son’s got some devlin’ to do
[Pre Chorus]
Gloriana stamps the measure
We leap for blood and treasure
We dance to the jingle of Spanish gold
We follow Drake into battle
We let our muskets rattle
We smile in church
And steal like sin
For gold and glory
Nymphs sing our story
We skip on the deck
Of the Golden Hind
[Chorus]
Left foot, right foot, up she goes
Hoist the sails with a big heave-ho!

[Verse – bouncy, swaggering English accent male vocal]
When appealin’ to the queen I mind my Ps and Qs
I take a sweeping bow and kiss the royal jewels
But at sea chivalry won’t keep a ship afloat
It’s all hands on deck, this ain’t no leisure boat
We’re on the hunt for gold and jewels
